End of 2023 Update

Hello, everyone! It's been a long, fulfilling year of tabletop games for me; I hope you all had some fun out there, too. 

A recent chat with a friend about the dearth of good pulp systems reminded me of this project, and to my great surprise I saw that my 2022 self had written out the pitch and Talents for Hard-Boiled Blood!, a second alt-setting for 194X. With the hard part (mechanics!) largely handled, it was an afternoon's work to hash out some setting tables to finish that off. It's here for you today, along with a very slight polish pass (catching every instance of 'Issue' and replacing it with 'Serial,' this game's term for a play session).

I've also moved the price from a mandatory $5 to PWYW with $6 recommended. This is a complete, playable game, one that's been playtested at my table and is now over twice the usual size of a 24XX offering... but with unfinished layout, I'm happy to price this like the alpha that it is. The old 2022 draft also had an almost-entirely-unwritten pitch for a third setting, Operation ROCK SALT, which would be a Weird War scenario about blasting NACHT agents in the dying days of the Continental War. If that's something you'd be interested in seeing, let me know <3
