It’s easy to break, to ruin, to kill… anyone with a trigger finger and a few tons of military-grade steel can do that. The War is a hungry thing, people and machines and cities caught in its jaws and torn to pieces.

The Lifeline is a Supply Drop for Beam Saber by Austin Ramsay, offering a new Pilot playbook who acts as a rescue worker braving the chaos of the War to try and save people. It's inspired by my long-held desire for non-violent power fantasies, the phenomenal Rearguard project, and a wish to see more heroes who aren't killers.

One of my players took Fading Light from this playbook, and used it to great effect! They pushed themselves to a scar in order to commune with an extradimensional entity, and then used Fading Light to finish off the on-scene Rival by convincing them that the entity didn't need to be responded to with violence! A fantastic playbook.
